Calculate Precious Metals Rollover In order to calculate the daily rollover, you need to know the pip value per each instrument pair based on 1 unit size. i.e. value per tick based on 1 unit/ounce GLD is $1. Example According to the swap rates above, the rollover rate to sell 1 unit/ounce GLD is 5.00% daily. This is the amount you will receive. Rollover = 5.00 x $1(value per 1 unit/ounce of GLD) x 1(unit/ounce) x 1(day) = $5.00 The rollover rate to buy 1 unit/ounce GLD is -6.00% daily. This is the amount you will pay. Rollover = -6.00 x $1(value per 1 unit/ounce of GLD) x 1(unit/ounce) x 1(day) = $-6.00 Formula for swaps: *GLD (Gold) and SLV (Silver) spot contracts are available on MetaTrader 4 platform only. |
